We believe that a sound after school activities program is an integral part of the school curriculum and supports the school's mission of educating the whole person. After school activities promote children's growth in the physical, social, intellectual, and emotional realms and give students a variety of opportunities to explore new possibilities, pursue their individual interests and perhaps discover unknown talents. We further believe that an effective activities program teaches the participants the value of cooperation and the spirit of teamwork, providing them with the opportunity to engage in healthy competition while strengthening our sense of community at AICS.
A variety of activities such as sports, art, music, crafts, and clubs round out the academic curriculum for students. School activities begin after school at 2:30 . We also have field trips which give students the opportunity to enrich their learning experiences and to put into practice the skills they are learning in the classroom. All field trips are supervised by teachers and AICS also welcomes parental involvement on field trips to provide transportation or act as chaperones.
